Manufacturing & Mastering FAQ
AUDIO
What's the difference between Masters and Premasters?
Masters are final, ready-to-press audio files that have been professionally mastered for vinyl. They include proper EQ, limiting, and are cut-ready.
Premasters are mixed but not mastered files. They will be sent to a mastering engineer who will optimize them specifically for vinyl cutting (RIAA curve, bass management, etc).

What's the maximum duration per side?
12" at 33 RPM: 16-18 minutes per side (recommended max: 16 min)
12" at 45 RPM: 9-10 minutes per side
10" at 33 RPM: 10 minutes per side
7" at 45 RPM: 3.5-4 minutes per side
Longer durations = narrower grooves = lower volume & less bass. For loud, bass-heavy music, stay under 12 min/side on 12".
